Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) has been in the news a lot lately. The company has created a new battery that may shift America from a power grid to solar power and CEO Elon Musk's other company, Space X, is trying to make a safe space capsule for commercial space travel. Now the company is trying to change Texas car dealership laws. According to Business Insider, Texas legislature has decline to take multiple bills that would make it possible for Tesla to sale its new electric car directly to the buyer. These bills would change the state law where cars have to be sold through a third party. The attempt to change this legislation has been an long exhausting process for Tesla, but since this law makes a lot of money for Texas' state and local government. This comes as a surprise to the company because Texas has been supportive to Tesla. "In our view, current provisions operate as a special protection for dealers — a protection that is likely harming both competition and consumers," the Federal Trade Commission said.
