Since Marijuana became legal in a few U.S. states the industry has exploded. What has also exploded is the amount of users of the drug. The UN gave a report that marijuana use has steadily increased since the drug was legalized. According to CNN, the amount of marijuana users in 2008 was 10.3% and now it is at 12.1%. It has also gone up 1% in high school users. With this increase the UN also reported that the use of cocaine has gone down as well. However, this increase in users also brought to the attention of the health problems marijuana has. Emergency rooms in Colorado have had patiences who were burned from attempting to extract THC from the plant and vomiting from other forms of the drug. "The prevalence of marijuana use in Colorado is higher, and is increasing faster, than the national average," said the UN report. For more news on marijuana, click here.
