This is your grandpa's Chrysler (NYSE:FCAU) anymore, now like a computer, your car needs to be updated. In cars today there are computers that help it run, but the need to be updated with the current software. Car owners can either go to a dealership to get the updates or they can do it themselves. However, the problem with all of this technology is it opens up to people hacking your car. According to CNN, the software patch plugs people plug into their cars to get these updates may grant outside access to the car's controls. So one morning, on your way to work, you could try to make a stop at a red light and hackers have cut your brakes. To combat this from happening, Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) has figured out away to get the information the car needs via Wifi. However, there are other problems then hackers, it takes 45 minutes for the updates to complete and you can't use your car while updating. The future is here and it has a bad connection.
