The movement to raise the minimum wage is growing with Los Angeles becoming the latest city to approve it. Further, with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo talking about raising it New York City and the rest of the state, the question of the minimum wage is even being talked about with presidential candidates. According to CNN, Hillary Clinton told thousands of fast food workers at a convention in Detroit that workers in their industry not only deserve a living wage, but also a union as well. Many have speculated that this move is to win votes back to Clinton lost to her Democratic party opponent, Bernie Sanders, who is running on more progressive platforms. Political analysts say Clinton's campaign is being pressured by cities across America like Los Angeles and Seattle, which have raised its minimum wages. "No one who works an honest job in America should have to live in poverty. No man or woman who works hard to feed America's families should have to be on food stamps to feed your own families."
