Lately, McDonalds (NYSE: MCD) has been losing to companies like Shake Shack (NYSE: SHAK) and Chipotle (NYSE: CMG). Recently, those companies, like many others, have been moving towards food that is healthier. McDonalds has held out shifting to healthier foods until now. Because of lose in sales, McDonalds CEO, Steve Easterbrook, announced it will be serving healthier food to change the companies image. According to CNN, Easterbrook hopes McDonald's healthier food will bring more excitement to the company and McDonald's brand will use the phrase, "modern, progressive burger company," to try and get people to become interested again. "It is customers that decide if we succeed. The message is clear. We are not on our game," he said.
