With many cities raising their minimum wages, the corporate world is in an uproar. Many people who own businesses are saying $15 is too much. McDonalds (NYSE: MCD) has been trying to fend off a $15 minimum wage and unions quite successfully, which has hurt its public image. Starbuck (NASDAQ: SBUX), however, hasn't been hurt by the hikes, here's why? According to CNN, Starbucks pays its employees more then the minimum wage already, so it could absorb some of the brunt of a higher minimum wage. Starbuck's CEO, Howard Schultz, has come out against the minimum wage, since the legislation passed in Seattle, where Starbucks was founded.
