Lately, CVS (NYSE: CVS) has been buying up pharmaceutical companies. In May, CVS bought Omnicare (NYSE: OCR), the largest pharmaceutical provider for seniors in the country and now it is buying Target's (NYSE: TGT) pharmacies for $2 billion. According to CNN, CVS will rebrand the pharmacies in Target with its own image and logo in the 1,660 store with pharmacies in 47 states. CVS plans to have rebranded 1,500 pharmacies by 2017. The company also plans to take over and rebrand Target's 80 MinuteClinics, which are clinics for the sick to be seen quickly. Not only will it take over these pharmacies, but it will also expand its company brand in parts of the country it hasn't been like Denver and Portland. For more news on Buying and Selling, click here.
