The marijuana industry has seen explosive growth since California made it legal for medical purposes. Now 23 states and Washington D.C. have legalized it to some degree and the public's perceptions are slowly changing its attitude towards the plant and its use. Even recent polls say a majority of Americans support legalization. According to Tech Crunch, there is so much demand for marijuana and its accessories that new companies have to step in to make up for the supply. This is an exciting time, however, the plant is still illegal on the federal level and there are plenty of loop holes to close in order to fully legalize it. There have been bills introduced to both the house and senate to legalize medical marijuana, so the conversation of legalization has even reached the halls of the federal government. By 2020, legalization for medical purposes might be legal in all 50 states.
