The free open source web browser Firefox, which is a product of Mozilla, launched its 38th edition reluctantly because it has been in an argument with closed sourced Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE). In order to keep itself true to its open-source ethic, Mozilla launched a version of Firefox 38 without Adobe's software. According to Tech Crunch, the argument between the two companies started when the when Mozilla decided to adopt Adobe's DRM as a web in its browser. This DRM and other software from Adobe is important for of websites like Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX), which need Adobe's Flash in order to stream videos. This decision to launch a version without Adobe was difficult for Mozilla to make considering that in recent year the company has had a rough time keeping its users.
